Step 1: Your Name and Student ID
Before we start there's some things we want you to know:
- Your data is confidential We don't hand out student information to employers, to other students or to the school unless required by law. The information you give us is only used to find the best possible jobs for you.
- We won't refer jobs to someone on your behalf From time to time teacher or parents ask us for job referrals for students. It's our policy only to refer jobs directly to you.
- Jobs are referred by Volunteers Although the computer does it's best to match students with jobs which match their skills and interests, a volunteer makes the final decision on which jobs are referred to you.
- We expect you to respect us and the employers we work with Employer data is confidential too, and we ask you not to pass on job references to others. Employers have a right to privacy and an expectation we'll handle their data as we would want our own to be handled.
- Our Volunteers are... Volunteers. They could be out playing tennis, watching a movie or reading a book somewhere. Instead they've dedicated their time to helping you and your fellow students. Always keep this in mind and treat them with the respect and appreciation they deserve.
Now that that's out of the way, the first thing we need to do is get your name and Student ID number to make sure you're not already in the system. Even if you haven't stopped by SES this year, you may already be in the system if you had a card on file last year:
